havent heard of them for years. used to be good for cars etc years ago to provide extra lift at the rear of a veh carrying a heavy load. they are an air adjustable shocker and as such the airline, connections and airbags should be checked out/over real good. i think they used to make 2 types 1..90psi and another 150psi. hope this helps. cheers Bob H

Depends on what sort of vehicle you want them for..... Pump up shockies work very well on some vehicles, not quite so well on others. They are a conventional shock absorber with an air bag on the outside- usually very good for wagons etc as you just put more air in when carrying a big load.
But anyway Gabriel make quite a reasonable shock, generally in the same league as Monroe.
"$10 and no more..."- garbage!
If they're new they would be a VERY good buy at $100.

Super Cheap & others sell Gabriels. I have 4 on my Triton Ute for over a year
& they are bigger bodied than some others & @ $70 I gave em a try.
They are OK & white, there is a blue one too which may be heavier duty.
Just after buying they put em out at 20% off. Bit early to tell how they go long term.
The air shocks seem durable & a useful item but dont hear that much about em nowadays. People seem to let the back of their vehicles drag on the road when laden or towing to their risk.

Do they perform a similar function to polyairs?

There must be some sort of design reason why polyair type products are used instead of air shocks?

I don't use either so I wouldn't know.

Steve

As the above have said, they were the flavour of the month yonks ago. But be aware they take a lot of the load off the springs and put it on the shock absorber mountings....not such a good idea.

Cheers

Thanks for the memory jolt - had these on my HJ panel van 25yrs ago - used them to get it up high enough to fit the Goodyear Pos-A-Traction tyres under. Looked good (for 25yrs ago) and from what I remember once fitted they didn't give me any trouble. Used to load the sh*t out of the van with scuba gear and no problems.
If they are new then why not. rgds
Slow down and relax......
