I bought my cable and aerial from GPSoz - $148
Aerial is very small - size of a 20c coin (MK76/MCX)
I had a data cable for the PC, but bought a combined power/data cable so I can now run the GPS in the car with a Laptop (haven't got the laptop yet)
I haven't bothered with any maps or a card yet - when I buy the laptop I will just use the 1:250 000 NatMap maps (which I have) with OziExplorer software (which I have)

A 12v power cable is $39
A external antenna is $69 (MCX connector)
Only Garmin data cards can be used.
A 64MB card (which will hold maps for all of Australia) is $132
Only Garmin mapping can be loaded and MetroGuide Australia is $179
Garmin mapping uses an unload code and without it you will not be able to load the maps even if you have the CD
