brake siezure front hi lux

hi
89 hi lux dual cab 4x4 2.8 lt diesel
front drivers side wheel locked up
replaced all caliper seals replaced rotors replaced disc pads bleed system both sides
couple days latter right hand wheel red hot pads worn out rotor distorted through heat same as before has any body heard of this problem or knows how to fix it.

Gidday,I think you will find your flex brake hose has collapsed inside.What happens is when you put your foot on the brake pressure is built up in the line and when you take your foot off the brake the pressure is not released therefore brakes to that caliper are on all the time.Volvos were noted for this (early models)as they had 2
flex lines one to the caliper and one return.The return hose collapses and no release in pressure.

Cuffy,

Just jack the front of the car up, check to see if both wheels spin free, if not, undo the calliper bleed screw of the effected side to see whether pressure is present and whether the calliper has released. If, when you jack up the car and the wheels are free to turn, start the engine allow vacuum to build and pump the brakes, Re-check, as I would say locallaw has hit the nail on the head.

My brother had the same problem on an old Datsun once.

It was the flexible brake hoses.
