Set up laptop all woked great till you go to use it in real life (outside) Cant see any detail on the screen. Has anyone had the same problem if so how did you fix it short of putting the laptop in a box. Running a LG laptop

Matt - Common problem I believe - the only way to inprove the visibility is to limit the amount of light shining directly onto the screen. Budget fix is to use cardboard to make a shroud that stops light coming from sides and top - like a set of blinkers on a horse....or only drive at night:).
Cheers

Matt,
Not a lot you can do at times. Just got to keep it out of the sun or somehow cover it up with a shroud. That is one of the reasons I have just gone over to using an Ipaq as the brightness is adjustable and you can mount it in the car where it is less susceptable to the light. If I remember I will bring it to the meeting Monday night.
