IPF Wiring.

Thanks for your help on the last topic as these are second hand i got them originally off a ford explorer. I tried them and completed the curcuit but the lights wouldn't turn on is there different wiring for different vehicles.

Bill,

Have you checked out the wiring diagram in the driving lights article on ExplorOz.

Did the relay click when you switched the driving lights on? If not you may find that the wire you used from the high beam switch is the wrong one or it may actually switch to earth and not 12V. Give me some more details and I will try to help.

Did you have a multimeter?

For Answering yeah i had the right wire for the high beam. The circuit was complete as the led was working on the switch. And the relay was clicking on and off when i switched it on and off.

I checked with the multimeter current wasn't comming through to the lights after the relay. What is the way i grounded the negitive of the lights were is the best place to ground the actual lights. Is it alright to ground them on the same bolt as the relay ground. Where is the best place to ground the actual lights.

Is there a test i can do to see if it is the actual lights which are broken.
