Oh yeah! Lots of snow. It started snowing Saturday morning and didn't stop till early Sunday morning, made for a cold night in the snow. Had a blast but it was like Bourke St up there so an early start will get you out ahead of the rest. With the depth of snow that was up there it was hard work pushing new tracks on the Saturday but Sunday had a quick run to the top before the traffic started. Had a great weekend and the scenery was magnificent.

Mass amounts of snow, also mass amounts of people..

With broken down cars all over the place causing issues.

Thinking of tryin again this weekend.

Go from the Licola side, dont try the Jamieson side, its busier than City Central peakhour.

Yeah, I was there. The buggy was going great Saturday morning making a driveable track but ended up with an electrical gremlin. Nobody got stuck. Had a group of larger vehicles behind us but they were content for us to make a track as it was pretty hard going. When we couldn't get it started we moved over and let them pass but they were getting stuck 50m on :) Had some %$#@ get stuck and leave their vehicle blocking the track for others for sometime. Had a number of people coming up and asking if it was one of ours (we don't leave ours behind unlike some there). Some people needed an attitude adjustment big time, I thought this was supposed to be recreation. The Sunday morning dash to the top was a blast but had to wait on the way down for a Landcruiser that was having some problems coming up. A bit of winching, snatching and some chains saw him moving again and we got going before the oncoming traffic built up. It was a cold night Saturday (snowed Saturday morning till Sunday morning) but the fire was good, glad you got some joy from it. Did you see the snowman too? The scenery was magnificent but the road down was starting to get a bit chopped up. Talking to the local police at the bottom he was saying it had even been closed recently as it had got quite bad. They had had that much snow people were skiing down the road last week. Never seen so many Centipedes in one place as I saw Saturday, getting to be a bit common.
