Hi everybody I am needing some info on a G.P.S. I believe it is a Lowance Globe Map 100 with all maps of Australia. It has been offered to me at I think a good price but I don't know anything on this brand. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Di

I am not familiar with Lowrance GPS systems but they have a pretty good reputation for marine instruments. If you don't get any information via this
forum, it might be worth giving your nearest
chandler a call.

Hi I have one of these GPS old but works just as good as any new ones.have a look at www.lowrance.com you can even get a print out of the mannual for it. how much is it ,curious

Thanks Ray for your reply I have been told it will be around $300.00 and in good condition but I don't know how old it is, you might be able to fill me in on that. We will be looking at in on Monday so we will let you know if we buy it or not. Thanks again Di

Hi Dianne price seems a bit high.Globe map 100 is two - three years old,press menu button then go to system setup press right button then go to system info it will tell you how old it is.Also
check with Lowerance if you can still get the Map-create CD-ROM and interface cable if you need to add any more maps.Lowerance make good GPS and the after sales service is really good but like all electronics now they get outdated very quick.Have a good look at several GPS first .The garmin Etrex I think also has a built in map of Aus and is about $300 new,several of my friends have these and also think they are good.Have a good look around first then buy.
