Morning guys,
I for one have not made comment on the debacle that developed over the last few weeks regarding posts about nothing.
However, I want to make one point. I joined this site to swap information regarding 4wd's and accessories and can understand David and Michelle's position when it comes to long, tedious repetitive posts which display great anomosity between members due to an argument.
Whilst I understand that we all have differing levels of experience in the field, we all have to realise that everyone has freedom of expression and are entitled to their opinions.
We all have to remember that running a business is what keeps the money coming in for the owners to pay for their own expenses ie. food etc. The site is called exploroz, not ozieshavingagoodwhingebitch. The site has been put in place to assist new comers to the 4wd scene. Can you imagine logging onto this site as a newcomer looking for a 4wd and some new friends, and reading some of the nonsensical rubbish on some previous posts? You would quicky develop an opinion on what 4wd owners are really like, although it may be a minority opinion.
Further, having new comers on the site and telling them to search instead of giving them a hand is just plain lazy. Give them an answer and suggest that next time the search function is quite handy for simple questions.
I think we need to all have a good look at what good we have reaped from this site, understand the financial and commercial position of the owners, and realise that in comparison to what's going on around the world in other countries, the developments and unsettled feelings posted on this site in the last few weeks are a non-issue.
I think that this site is fantastic, informative and reliable. I look forward to getting back to chatting about nissas, toyotas, mitsubishi's and accessories. Here's to a fresh start!
Cheers
Chris.
