Sluggish Terrano

DOes anyone know if boosting up the turbo on a terrano would make alot of difference, what are the pros and cons of doing so and how much can i boost the turbo up by or to.

They are a bit of a slug, particularly in auto.
A turbo mechanic should be able to lift the boost & check it with a guage
in under 30 minutes & so long as there is room to move with it you should get more grunt but dont overdo it.
Check the pump timing, best on a dyno, for optimum sttings, this made a difference on my Triton 2.5
A free flow exhaust will let the turbo come in earlier & work better. The turbo
acts like a muffler in itself & a straight thru muffler is OK.
Make sure your intake is free flowing. no unecessary bends & a clean air filter.
Any or all of this can make a difference.
