The wife and I went new car shopping last night in San diego and saw something that really caught our eye.

Bright red F-250 XLT Lariat (leather seats) 4 door crew cab, the new 6lt Turbo charged, Allison auto, 4 x 4, with 10" (yes 10") FACTORY lift, the door sill was 34" off the ground!!!!

The price was $55,000 USD!!!

Didn't buy it cause the wife 5'1" couldn't get into it.

It did look pretty impressive.

Ask if they can fit an Ingersoll Rand Air-Start and a Jake Brake too:-)

Problem solved.

Hi Bruce,
Mate..I 'd buy it. After all, you BOTH liked it, and its always a great excuse not to take her on trips..just tell her its even harder to get back in when your offroad than it is on a hwy

Cheers Angelo

I'll probably get something like it before we move back to Oz in about
5-6 years. If I own it over here I won't have to pay duty, it that right? and get it converted,

Or I wonder if I could get a RHD one over here from the factory and drive it sparingly over here for a couple of years and bring it over to Oz.

If the lift were factory installed and delivered that way would I be able to keep it on in Oz?

Just wondering

Difference is (other than the 10inch lift bugger me) that Oz only gets the XL and XLT. USA gets XL, XLT, Lariat, Ranch Edition and Harley Davidson.

F250 starts at US$23185 XL single cab 2wd probably V8 petrol
Harley Davidson 6.8 petrol 4x4 crew cab 8ft bed US$43620. I am sure you could option these like crazy too.

However US$55000 for a Lariat when a Harley Davidson is US$44000? Maybe there is a tax that isn't on the website and/or the 10inch lifted Lariat had every box ticked on the options form.

There is a new F-250 coming out next year too so they should be discounting them.

US F-250
