Has anyone fitted a 2" body lift kit in a current model Landcruiser GXL IFS.

More ground clearance by putting bigger tyres on, why do you say don't do it, what would be the disadvantages.

your car turns into a bucket of pus basically !
Rattles & squeaks not previously present & harder ride
Small lever shift problems and associated problems with boots
Radiator problems (need to relocate radiator or modify shroud on 80 series at least)
You should be able to run 285/75 R16's now and that should suffice given IFS (no experience here just a thought) and insurance issues.
Steering shaft probs (rubbing on firewall)

R U going to fit yourself?
Time over again I would go for 4" suspension lift but that's not possible with IFS so I see your dilemna.
