Hi Locallaw,
I also have an 8528. The 8528 has 500 channels that can be installed on an Eprom. If you select the channel button on the remote head it will work through the channels that are already installed on your unit. VKS has 5 channels, look up the VKS site for the numbers. You can then check if they are already installed on yours. I had to get an Eprom burnt to give me a range of channels including VKS737. You need to join to use thier service but you can always listen in to their scheds as
well as RFDS.
Hope this assists.
Regards
Ian

Hi Locallaw,
The last ?10 ?100 channels are able to be programmed through the set. I think the first 400 are on the Eprom. I sought advice from the Yahoo Codan group and had an Eprom burnt from a regular conributer from the
Gold Coast (can't remember $50 - $70) - worth it. On the Yahoo site there is a FAQ/weblinks that describe how to configure your own channels.
But then again just scroll through the channels already installed, they maybe be there.
If no luck, I can go through my old email of the Yahoo contacts and give you an email of the "gun man". Can't remember his name at the momment but a gentleman.
I was in Mt Moffat in the Carnavon Ranges, Qld calling into
Alice Springs last weekend. Don't get enough dirty dusty trips to use it.
Regards
Ian
