Can anyone tell me where to look for an overhead console (not parcel shelf) to fit into a Hilux dual cab? After something with reading lights etc.

Can also recommend Dept of Interior. But sit down before you get the price. Very very good but not cheap.

Markp,

Speak to Rono Consoles in Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast. They make custom consoles and primarily build for the trucking community.
Friends and I have used them for years in everything from Kenworths to Landrovers. They are well built and realistically priced as opposed to the 4WD crap you see advertised.
I currently have their unit in a GU carrying HF, UHF, Lights, pockets etc.

G'day markp

I made a console for my hilux a few months ago. Just used some MDF that was lying around covered it in high desity foam and some grey vinyl. I inserted some narva halogen swivel map lights(the most expensive part) and my UHF and CB.
All up cost about $70.00 and some tinkering time.
I mounted it to the rear vision mirror screws and the holes for the interior light so no extra holes needed.
Just an option.
