Do you have the cradle ? The main box can be bolted to the passenger side in the cargo area, with the remote on the transmission hump or attached to the dash. Don't forget the area under the back seat if you really do want to mount it on the floor.

Consider hear dissipation too, wherever it goes - they have to breath and stay relatively cool - might be some info in the manual re heat levels allowed.

G'day LL

If it helps I fitted a Barret 550 main box under the front passenger seat of my 80 series.
I've no idea of the size difference to yours but it shouldn't be much I would think.
I could email you a pic if it would help. If so give my your addy.
Where are you mounting your auto-tune? I made a bracket for my spare wheel carrier which fits between the wheel & the body so it doesn't affect wheel removal.

Regards
Neil

G'day again Local Law....
Okay; so no cargo barrier (I'd put that at the top of my "MUST HAVE" list if I were you.....but that's just my opinion.
Assuming you don't use the 3rd row of seats, here is another option:
Remove the grab handles for the 3rd row passengers (I have a Nissan, but am also assuming that Toyo has the above-window handles?). Use the 4 screw holes which should now be visible above the cargo-bay side windows, to mount a pair of steel angle-iron struts across and below the roof line. I would imagine you should find that the gap between the 2 steel struts and the roof would be sufficient to mount the HF's "guts" without too much hassle.
It's just a thought....

Roachie's right - I have a LC80 and there are grab handles for the 3rd row seats (well, there are in the GXL model).
I'd consider 2 things:
1. Mount the unit up out of the way of water; don't want to drown it when you cross that deeper than expected creek in the Top End.
2. Fit a cargo barrier as a priority. I've seen the leftovers of someone who prnaged their loaded 4WD into a tree. They survived the tree but not the Engel in the back of the head. Then you can mount the set on the cargo barrier.
Cheers
John
