Hi all,
Repco are flogging their 150psi 72L/min Maxi Trac air compressor for $299 with a tyre repair and electrical repair kit and a tool box thrown in. My question is does anyone have one of these compressors or know anything about them? If they're not too bad I think I'll ask nicely for one on father's day. The offer is good until 5/9/04 if anyone wants one.

Same compressor as the bushranger Max Air.
Havent heard of too many failures, pulled one down, to do an evaluation on them before they were imported by another company, fairly robust, and nearly twice as fast as an ARB compressor.

Re-baged Bushranger Max Air. I have a Bushranger one. Very good, very fast, very robust (so far), although the guage is next to useless and I find the deflator fitting a bit of a gimmick.
You can pick up a Bushranger Max Air for $250 if you know where to look so $299 with the repair kits looks like a reasonable deal.

I just checked my records and that Bushranger Max Air was for $285, not $250. Sorry.
I guess that makes the Repco version even more attractive, $$$ wise.

Rohan, where can you get the Max air for $285? I'm in
Perth, do you know much about the Duty Cycle on them?
They have a Maximum duty cycle time: 40 mins @ 40 psi @ 24°C
What would that be at say 60c?
Have you got it mounted under you bonnet or know of anyone who has done this with the max air?

Take a look in Ebay, heard they have sold for as low as 150.00 depending on bidding. I too had a MAX AIR. By far the best. Sold it when i had air locker installed.....BIG mistake ARb compressor has nothing on MAX AIR.
