A few weeks ago (see Archive) I enquired about non-
camping accomodation along the
Darling River, and was recommended Trilby and
Kallara stations.
Well I've done the trip now - not the complete run because of time constraints, but
Cobar-
Tilpa-
Louth-
Nyngan - and tried
Kallara Station for overnight accomodation. Highly recommended, beautiful location right on the banks of the Darling, with the
Tilpa pub nearby which must be one of the best outback pubs around. I'm sure Trilby is also good (will try it another time) but
Kallara has everything from
good campsite to the very comfortable Coolabah Lodge (where we stayed), with friendly hosts and all you could possibly need.
I'm happy to provide furhter details.

Darling River (pay) Check out
the woolshed also.
Tilpa wool shear was on when we there- great experience
