I am after the best exhaust setup for a 80 Series Diesel (non-turbo). I have read on this web site about fitting extractors and a 2 1/2 inch system, but what about noise. Can anyone help with an exhaust shop in Brisbane area that offers a quality product at a good price. Thanks

Stan,i had just fitted 2 1/2 system with Pacemaker extractors.Great set up,does away with flat spot in the tail pipe and no extra noise.I did expect more noise, but to my suprise there is none. Performance is up around 15-20%. Cost around $850 for complete mandrel bent system.

Stan. I have the same car as you and have fitted the set up you are looking at. My extractors and 2.5" system were fitted by Rob Bliss Exhausts ( I think he also trades under Macs Muffler Mart), Robinson Rd, Geebung and I can't fault the system or the workmanship. I think it cost around the $600 mark but it was worth every cent. It was a tad noisy at first but within a few weeks it was a lot quieter. The most significant difference I've found is in the torque increase. I'd definitely give it a try.
