garrett turbo

I have come across a garrett turbo attached to a manifold for an AUS 2L but cant find any other ID on it other than casting marks. I would like to find out if turbo has sufficient capacity for my 3L before I get it rebuilt. manifold can be modified to fit the 3L and it is dirt cheap (requires rebuild though) and we will check if turbine blades are servicable first, BUT, need to ID it first. Any sggestions??

Is the donk its off from a 4b?
if so, call some of the better 4b shops that deal in mods, ask them,

if not, try JPC in Melbourne, or some of the better turbo places...

Remember smaller will spool up nice and fast!

hiya truckster, yeah its off a 2L ( 2.4 or 2.2 liter ) hilux, but because the wrecker doesnt know which it came from and ID has been removed by aftermarket supplier, its hard to know which cartridge has been fitted to it ( turbine wheels ) The housing is T25 or T28 which is correct but thats all I can find out so far. It still may come back to me getting a CT20 of a surf 2.4, but I still have to find one!! I havent bought this one yet though ( im in WA )

dozer, there are about a gazillion books on how to make a rocket out of the turbo but I cant find a hilux turbo on Ebay !!?? point me in the rite direction!! cheers
