"Jeez" I hope I got that name right.
I am interested in a set of Inclinometer's that is to say gauge's that will depict / measure the angle that the vehicle is on.
Both for and aft and Port and Starboard indicators or left and right if you prefer.
I know that some manufactures supply them as a standard fitting to their vehicles.
But are they avaliable as a stand alone item.

John,
Yes.
Try some of the bigger 4WD shops. I know the 4WD Megastores have them.

I believe the Holden Adventra has them as standard. Waste of dash space if you ask me.

I've always thought of them as a bit of a joke.
If you're in any serious white knuckle stuff, the last thing you'll be doing is taking your eyes off the track to look at some silly bloody ball.

Totally agree with you Rosco.
I've got one standard in the Rodeo. When you look sideways out one window and see only gound then look the other way and see only sky then you're on an angle. Works across and up/down hills. LOL.
Another one is if you realise the only things holding you to your
seat are your seatbelt and your bum cheeks. You're on an angle RAOFLMAO.

Hey John agree with Rosco save your money, you will only frighten your passangers, as they will be the only ones with time to look at it before the ship keels over. LOL

Roscoe said it best...
Inclinometer's also known as wankometers...
The issue being people take them and the figures given on brochures on the cars as 100% accurate.
EG Brochure says car will go to 45degrees, wankometer says im at 45 so I must be safe.

John,
They are standard on a lot of Pajero's. Had one on my 92 model and never found a use for it. Whenever I was in a situaation thet it may have been interesting I was far too busy watching the track (and attempting to control the pucker) to worry about what the gauge said!
The latest model have replaced it with a basic compass which at least keeps the passengers amused.

Had one on the Rocky and yeah, always wanted to see what it was at but by the time I had a chance to look over there it was back to centre! LOL
I don't think I ever saw it off centre as I was looking at the road when it was moving.
They sell them at Auto1 in Wanneroo, I imagine you'd be able to find them at any auto parts place.

Some years ago I was involved in off road racing. Bloke I knew had an insanely fast Hilux and I noticed that it had an inclinometer fitted. His response when I queried it's usefullness was that the only meaningful guage that you'd exceeded the capabilities of the vehicle was the brown stuff oozing through the collar of the race suit as you hung suspended in the harness!

My first Paj had one back in 92. It was pretty useless but looked pretty cool, I thought. You don't watch it while you're driving, but when every thing stops moving and the black half of the ball is on top you shouldn't open the sun roof.
