A reliable source has informed me that the big day has arrived today. We wish you a very Happy Birthday for this day and what is left of it. Unfortunately we cannot make the party but will have a few in your honour.

Now you may officially retire from your many years of hard work and go and enjoy endless days of bush travel and camping by quiet waters or in the stillness of the deserts.

Well what a wonderful surprise Willem. Your reliable sources are reliable & it just shows the extent of the network that you run. The all seeing, all hearing, all knowing Willem. I hope you don't have spies under my bed.

I am indeed celebrating tonight with a couple of pals, and will in return drink the good health of yourself and other selfless formanites.

The idea of spending the rest of my years wandering the endless trails of this great heart land has a certain appeal. It certaintly beats the thought of being confined to a nursing home. My major problem is that there are not enough years in a normal lifetime to do all that I have to do - guess I had better get going - no malingerers allowed here.

Cheers and good health to you.

Happy Birthday Cocka. You share your birthday with my beautiful mother. Of course retirement means you will have unlimited hours to spend doing Grandpa duties! I'm looking forward to the day that our paths cross somewhere on this magnificent continent. Hope you haven't got too much of a headache this morning.
