Anyone know if a 99 JACKAROO which comes standard with 16 inch wheels will take 15 inch? I guess brakes are the only barrier. I am just thinking about getting the old style desert duelers on (can get for $150 ea) in a size that will give same diameter. I guess the desert duellers aren't rated the same though, so will this be a potential hazard re insurance. Just thought I'd ask in case anyone else had done it previously.

p.s before anyone asks, ($150 ea, have had previously and great in sand/moderate mud, relatively low noise, extremely long wear) is the reasons I am interested. Also the camper trailer has 15in 31/10r15 Ts

Hi D-Jack, Yep borrowed my mates nissan offset 15"wheels with desert duelers 31x10.5 and fitted nicely . No problems clearing the brake calipers but with the nissan offset each wheel is about 1 " further out and the tyre another 1" , this would almost require flares to cover and keep mr plod away. Makes the Jack look 100% though as the standard track is too narrow in my opinion. With a savings of about 100$ per tyre I fully understand why you are considerationg the change.
Cheers Dave.

I just fitted 15" wheels to mine with no problems. ROH told me that the Jack uses "Navara offset" wheels. Hope this helps
