all share the same chassis throughout the model range from 1960 onwards. I started building a steel mount for my winch today inbetween the chassis rails of the GQ, and my old plate off the G60 fits snugly between the rails. This is amazing as the G60 was sooooo narrow and the GQ soooo wide. Talk about economising! I must admit that the chassis rails on the GQ are welded whereas the ones on the G60 were solid steel tubing.

Hey John, when I look at the front end of yours and quite a few others I see the one I junked nearly 20 years ago. Could you see a parallel to your Nissan argument?

No parallel John, G60 circa 1960.
Your Toyota 75 Series ? circa 1980.
About 20 years of non parallel argument. LOL.
I think Nissan must be making more bucks out of these trucks than yota, hence the retail price difference today.

John, don't assume and I won't. My Tojo was about a '67 - junked 20 years back - may be more. Three speed transmission and a pto box too with the shaft to the front bumper.
Think Toyota has had a lot better profit history than Nissan, and hence the introduction of Renault management and cash..............

Probably why nissans are cheaper than toyos. not spending the money to upgrade. on second thoughts, what a ripoff. their getting closer in price to toyos all the time.

Eric got it right Willie......when you've already built the perfect chassis, why would you change.
Just hope they never run out of that big pile of chassis they must have stored away, cos then they'll decide it'd be cheaper to build 4by's without a chassis at all........what sick mind ever thought that idea up????????/
Cya mate......
