In relation to the email flow of the trader system. Your email address is not available directly from the system however when you reply to an enquiry you are sending the reply directly to the person (thus exposing your email).

As for the scammers, they have been banned as advised and I have also added another one today.

NOTE: All scams are from overseas and use free email accounts on the following mail servers: hotmail.com, yahoo.com and mail.com. I am going to make a mod that more easily exposes the email address of the sender so that you can make a more informed judgement about sending your reply. I am also thinking of forcing validation email before allowing use of the trader. The only problem is that the scammers are using the system correctly ie: the open the ad use the system based send enquiry etc. It is very hard to track this. I am also now going to look for some information/software that can tell me the country that the person is from (based on IP address) and block or set an alert in the responses from people not based in Aust.
We will keep working on this as best we can so please keep sending us the scam type enquires and we will continue to monitor and adjust the system.

The best way to deal with these people is to tell them that you have referred their post to the Crime Squad or equivalent.

As far as I am aware it is not possible for your email address to be obtained from ExplorOz Trader or anywhere on this site. David should be able to give you the technical details.
