does anyone know at what water imersion level a warn low mount winch cease operation?

Don't know what Warn says, but I have used
mine (M12000) underwater a number of times.
Keeps it cool I recon!!

Winches can quite happily take being submergered, what they don't like is the water being left in them. What I do is at the end of a day that has included the dunking of the winch, run the winch cable out and wind it back in under tension. Heats up the motor enough to drive out any water, and keeps your cable tensioned :)
