Just letting all fellow travellers know that the back track out of the nationel
park into the Nifty
Mine site is under
water and will be closed for possibly 12 months. This is a privete road and requires permission from the
mine to travel on it when it was serviceable and don't try and use it without that permission as they will turn you around and send you back we have been told.The
Oakover river crossing on the Skull Spring road is also only open to 4+4 and only those with a very good turning circle. Regards Alick & Willi
