duel fuel fitting snorkel

Hi everyone, thinking of putting a
snorkel on an tlc80 which is running on duel fuel. Was told that the car would run rough. Any one got any experience with doing this or any conformation that this would happen.

Now i have a little more time i will add to my answer...
When i had a petrol/gas 4x4 no-one would fit a
snorkel because of similar results to what you are saying...
But 4wd Systems in
Adelaide fit some sort of extra hose from the airbox into the main air filter box and it solves the problem...
They fitted one to
mine and my friends on the same day two years ago and no probs as yet...
But i havent got
mine now and his is fine still...

I used to have a Pajero with a "Gas compatible 3.5 Lt" . What a joke. Even the service guys said they wouldn't have one. On petrol its a great motor though. I know you have a TLC. I had gas fitted from new and then fitted my own
snorkel. Gas guy then "recalibrated" for
snorkel. I even took the car to another gas mob (very big Melb company) twice for service checkups on the gas system. They were not keen about snorkels and Dual fuel. Motor was rebuit at 40k. Sold soon after. I now have a diesel and I'm not touching the engine or management system. And as a pure cynic I note that Dtronics now have a facility programmed into them to cut the power increase when overheating is detected!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many blown 3 Lt are attributable to this deevice I wonder???????????
