Cania Gorge just north of Monto is worth a couple of days, great camping area and some excellent walks.

Blackdown Tableland NP to the west of Dingo is a majestic sandstone plateau and good for a few days as well. There is a 4WD loop about 26k long which has some great views and waterfalls.

cranki-franki,
Mt. Morgan and the Biloela area is a all right place to visit, i live at the base of the Mt Morgan range. Mt. Morgan is predominatley gold mining and heritage stuff, although should keep you occupied for a day or two. Not much 4x4ing though. The website below will be able to give you some details and helpful info on Mt. Morgan.

Hope that helps

When in Biloela go visit the 'Singing Mountain'........climb to the top and take a jack handle or a piece of steel with you. Once at the top you may be able to play a tune on the rock fragments jutting out at all angles.
