Querying whether anyone out there owns, or has seen the relatively new Musso Sports (Twin Cab with 5 cylinder turbo, intercooled diesel!), on the road, or more importantly in the bush?

Not sure whether they have improved in the last 3-4 years but historically,
Musso's are not good 4x4's (never driven one though, just read magazines). And the resale is low on older models, especially since Mercedes sold the the business.

Jack, thanks. Originally had trouble with importers and a range of other things. Have re-emerged last 12 months through different importer and proper dealerships being set up. Still basically Mercedes powered I believe. Also have a common rail diesel in a vehicle called Rexton - which has good value for money write ups. I would be really interested to hear from anyone who has experienced the new twin cab. Would be hard to swap from a cruiser though!

Hi. If your used to driving a Cruiser then you will be going backwards getting into a Corander.
I was loaned one for a week. I found it to be rather vague on the road and while the motor was willing it seriously lacked power until it was
well up in the rev range.
Not my choice

Comments appreciated - and relevant. Certainly looking for a change early 2005, love the Cruiser but don't deserve to be purchased given their initial cost and parts, so I am looking at all alternatives. I once took a chance and bought a 1974 (or 5) Subaru. It was an absolute hoot - with minor modifications it never missed a beat, nor did it hedge when faced with almost overwhelming odds - and if forward momentum was lost - pushing was an option! Thought maybe the new SSangyong Musso ute was at least worth a look on the same premis. Can afford to upgrade a few things and still have $$$ in bank. But at end of day it has to get us where I want to go. Cheers - comments still welcome.
