hi all,were about ready to leave on a four month tour of sa,vic. pulling a 6 meter off road caravan, done
the springs ,new coopers etc.cruiser has done 80k,s is there any other important things need doing before we go (were fwd virgins)

Being a hzj auto, you must have an RV 100 series...
dont tow in overdrive, that will put too much stress on the brgs in the auto.
You should do all the transmissions, and diffs oils, including wheel bearings b4 u go.

Whilst prevention is better than cure, there is nothing wrong with slipping the box into overdrive on a straight or slight downhill. You probably wont be able to do too much of it with a 1hz up front, try to have the box in power for hills and economy on the long stretches...
Also, pump the rear tyres up, if unsure about pressure, ask, as the most common problem encountered towing long distances is tyre explosions from under inflation. hen i did my trip, the tyres were running 50psi in the rear, 44 front, with 750/16's
