Hi, can anyone help me with my gps system...this may sound stupid but my gps system is in Japanese...is there a quick way of changing it to English ?

prob. Nice trick to play on friends but you need an english one so sit with with side by side to nagigate the menus to get it back to chenglish!!

Not really - generally speaking - leave the batteries out overnight and then start the beast up again in the morning - will forget everything and should require initialisation - will ask for prefered language...

No such thing as stupid questions, only stupid hats. If the battery out option doesnt work check the instruction manual for an initialisation sequence, like pressing button 4 5 & 1 whilst turning it on. You may be in a winner then.

If you are talking about an in dash unit in a Japanese import car then you are almost certainly out of luck.
There are many brands in Japan that are never seen in any other country and most of them simply have no option to change languages. Your second problem if you get past the language is what format maps do they use ?
