Hi all
I just got new tyres for the paj. They are 31's by 10.5'. Previously i had 30's by 8's? What will this change (fuel econonmy, speedo)? Took them out for a run on the weekend can't complain, but they did seem to have a liitle of trouble climbing in the sand. I had to rev a lot more to get the
wheels turning .

You have effectively raised all of your gear ratios. On the highway you will get better economy as 5th gear is now higher however your low range is not as low anymore either.
How this effects your 4wding depends on what you do and how you do it. I have 29in and 31in tyres for my Rodeo and I notice a difference with the bigger tyres but I can live with it.
You have a bit more clearance now too. Approx. 1/2in under your diffs etc.

Ute hit it pretty much, but more importantly (probably the most important thing on sand) what pressure were you running in them?

I was running standard highway presure, 38 psi way too high for sand I now, usually drop down to ten or 15 in the sand depending. I guess i will learnt to live with it. The old paj looks a bit more beasty now.
