Had a set of Savero (made by GT radial) 31/10.5R15 Muddies on my HiLux Ute a few years ago and was very happy with them for the short time I had them on (20000km) before I sold the Ute. I am looking at a set of Savero AT's for my dual cab HiLux atm, they are cheap at $165 and are on the more aggresive side for an AT. I know you only get what you pay for but was wondering if anyone has used them and what sort of mileage they got from them. Cheers, Isaac

This probably won't be of much help.... but we considered Savero A/T's before opting for the Pro Comp muddies... Our tyre guy recommended them highly them as an All Terrain tyre.

Hey isaac
I have just got a set of them, secondhand (just as weekend tyres), so far they have been fime. The guy I bought them off, did 20000 on them and they still look in reasonable nick, with at leats 10000 left in them

Patrick is that the MT's you bought? because 30000km isn't too flash for an AT even a cheapie....

Yeah issac that is the Mt's I bought. I only paid $150 with four sunraysia's, so i will be happy with 10,000 out of them, but i could easily get more out of them.

I have a friend who got a set of At's on his second hand patrol, went out on a day trip, ripped a hole in the side wall of one tyre and staked another. May just have been bad luck but the side wall damage was done by brushing against a fairly lame rock, the staking was from a small tree branch in to the tread's outer edge. ON closer inspection of the torn sidewall it looked pretty darn flimsy.

I had a set of Savero A/T on my vehicle, got close to 80,000kms from them. When I replaced them we had just come back from 8000 rough kilometres through central Australia including the old Ghan track from Finke to Alice and the
Great Central Road. The rubber was starting to delaminate from the belts but still had loads of tread (but badly chopped), but as they were unsafe they were all replaced. They also took us through the
Pilbara without any problems.
We never had a flat as such, but did punch a huge hole in the side of one before both of the above trips. After a major repair job the tyre kept on going without a problem.
They are a bit noisy compared to some of the more expensive tyres, but not something that will drive you insane I dont think. I think they are a pretty good tyre all in all, but we did notice that they didnt do too
well up steep wet tracks once the tread started to get past half worn.
I ended up replacing them with Cooper A/Ts, and am still wondering if they were the tyres I wanted or the tyres the
shop wanted me to have?

thank for your feedback guys, a bit of a mixed bag. I still haven't decided what to buy but I'm leaning towards the old bridgestone dueller 604V now after what I heard and read about both tyre makes. Thanks again Isaac.

Hi isaac
I have been running saveros for about 7 years and have had an excellent run.
I have a set of muddies on my old work cruiser which is overloaded and works most on gravel rd and paddocks and they are chiped and bashed and have been abused but are 5 years old and still not worn out. they have been great.
I have run savero at's on my cruiser wagons for the past 7 years and average about 85-95 ks per set. They have given me excellent running on all kinds of gravel roads including bush roads and local gravel roads where they spend about 30% of there time. I run 28psi on all outback gravel roads fully loaded in holiday mode and about 32 at home and bitumen.
Only had 2 problems in all those years, a spearhead shaped rock through one that had done about 80 odd thousand, and a recent new one had a small thump on smooth bitumen, which was replaced without any trouble.
I highly recommend savero tyres and you already know about the great prices.
Cheers
