Very interesting...
The 3.0L4cyl 1kz-te Diesel drinks more than a 4.2L 6 cyl diesel 79 series.
( I wonder if weight, tyres pressures and driving style played a part?)
Also the 3.4L Petrol 90 Series Prado drinks more than the 120 4.0L Petrol.
I spose it's all down the the technology in these new motors eh?!!
I must admit I don't get fantastic milage out of the surf, it's ok but the old mechanical driven rocky was better.

The 79 was dtronic and intercooled, one man, lightly loaded, who had one go at big red, some had 4-5 goes, but usage there would be not alot on extra attempts.
Driving style has a little to do with it as
well, though the economy run was everyone trying to drive as economical as possible on the day.

A time for distance covered would have provided some indication of driving style on the economy run.
