the arb long
ranger is about the $1000 mark when installed and filled and leak tested.
i know i have the same model and distance travelling sux big time.
thinking of a custom
tank in rear spare tyre area and getting a ORE tyre/jerry holder for rear odf car to allow room for a custom rear aux
tank and
water tank as
well.
this would also help in empty load conditions for a better ride , but i reckon air cushions would be needed with a full
tank and laden .
think brown and davis may be a risk .
no experience as few pople have them on this model but they do hang rather low compared to factory
tank.
even considered an auxillary
tank using a hilux
tank as they are fairly easy install between the chassis rails andjust use a fuel pump to fill main
tank or some other setup.
cheers

The
tank sux big time. i get about 400kms before the warning light comes on. I've always managed witha 20l jerry in the back just in case, any remote area travel would require several jerries to be safe.

Take a look at a Jackaroo fuel
tank. They are nice and squareish and fit between the chassis rails behind the rear diff. I am considering this for my Rodeo as I already have the mounting holes in my chassis for it. I think they are 80L. Just have to relocate the spare tyre.
There are two mounting types though. One has
tank brackets welded to the chassis with the bash plate bolted to the chassis. The other has the
tank brackets and the bash plate mounted via the same four bolts into the chassis. The second one is the easier to fit as it is all bolt on.
