Hi, Wondering if anyone can give me some advice on
driving lights. The vehicle is a 2003 prado which will do a lot of highway Kms. Lights I am looking at the moment are Rallye 4000 , IPF 900 and Lightforce 170 Strikes . Can't fit the Lightforce 240 on Bullbar(Toyota Genuine Bar) only have about 238mm of space

Have you concidered just upgrading the original headlights. That way you improve both high & low beam without the hassels. I find the vibration of
driving lights annoying particually on the airbag compatible bars & even the good ones seem to be forever spotting possums or burning the road when I needed them. There are several options from upgrading wiring, higher wattage QI or the new HIR or HID globes.
Cheers Craig........

Hi
Ross
it also maybe worth considering the new just released IPF 900XSCS.
This new light is round and is fitted with H9 super efficient bulbs with
only 65 w low current draw.
Puts out a better light than the 130 W 800's and is superior to even the
HIR IPF lights.
Also has waterproof connections and is submersible at 300mm for 2 mins.
The back is
grey metallic and the ring dark
grey metallic.
The driving light comparison stats are 515, 000 candle power compared to
the 900series 220,000 or 397,000 HIR.
the above stats where posted to me after i was about to order some IPF800 lights
will be placing an order for the 900XSCS lights tomorrow
cheers KB

I have a SL 240 which I use for spotlighting and it is rated the same as the SL 170 at 1,000,000 CP (Xenon globes).I also have 2 Narva
driving lights (spots) and when you converge
the spot between the vehicle lights at night there is bugger all differance. Makes you wonder doesn't it. Save your money and buy a couple of Narvas.

The Hella's always get a good rap. Haven't used them myself.
I have a set of IPF 900 , and a set of LF 170's. The LF's win by a mile.
I would recommend the LF's myself.
