hi all, a couple of weeks ago there was a post about having the ignition on to open and close windows and how annoying it is. there was a link put out of how to change this from ignition to accesories at the relay. after giving it some thought where the control switches are for the windows in the drivers door there is the door lock switch which has power all the time, apart from regulations wouldnt this be easier to link a wire.
cheers rob

Hi there is something on www.lcool.org, for doing the cruisers...basically, you find the relay that operates the windows, work out which two terminals from it are the power, and run a wire between them......perminant windows....:-)

Hi Ramp,

I was the one who originally asked the question and have since done the mod, but with a switch to choose between normal ignition power and permanent power.

There is a 0.2 amp powere draw to power up the window circuit so its not wise to simply wire it to permananet power always. Why there is a 0.2 amp draw, I don't know, but 0.2 amps is enough to flatten a battery if you don't start the car for several days.

Cheers
