I have heard I can put Coil Springs in conjunction with leaf springs on my HJ45 Cruiser Ute. Can anyone fill me in?

Out back suspensions 03 9723 3809 designed this system many years ago.
They used to come to the Wandin field day with a boat and motor on the toyota wagon roof, and a motor bike on the bull bar, also towing a caravan to demonstrate their product.
Several years ago I copied their system on my 60 series wagon,if done properly the ride height is increased and provides a softer ride.
However if you do not need the full articulation of the
suspension have you considered the air bag kits that are now available.
With both systems the air bags or coils sit on the top of the axle or original springs to supplement the load.
Usually with the coil application several leaves are taken out of the original spring pack, using the leaf spring as the location device and the coils carrying the load.
There is also a subsidary company in Queensland (freds conversions I think).
Both advertise in 4x4 monthly.
