G'day all,
Just a quick question on which diff oil is best used where ARB air diff locks are fitted. The vehicle is an 80 series full time 4WD if that makes any differance.
Thanks for replies,
Mark.

Ask ARB.
Any good LSD oil should do the job.
ARB used the same Shell ? product I think it was that Toyota had used when new.

Mark,
When the locker was put in the LSD comes out. That means that any diff oil can be used in the rear diff. You can still use LSD diff oil if you want to, but a good 80-90 oil should be OK.
If you were happy with the diff oil that you are useing before the lockers were installed, keep useing that diff oil.

When I had lockers put in my previous GQ (front and rear), ARB recommended LSD oil. They apparently found that LSD oil was better on the seals for longer term reliability.
