Truckster (Vic)
Just had a phone call from Denco Diesel in Wagga.
As some would know, I have one of their systems on my truck.
Well the lady (I missed her name) asked how I was finding it, I said I thought it could be a little better since its running 11psi. (would like 14psi!!)
So she OFFERED at the expense of Denco... if I was in the Wagga Region, that they would
check it out at their expense. If not, that they would arrange someone in My area to
check it out for me.
If she reads this, this place is highly recommended!!!
J P C JOHNSON PERFORMANCE CENTRE PTY LTD

Now that is 10/10 service. I had not called them, or asked for any of this. Im betting not many others have had service like that from a company recently!
BRILLIANT!
Might go for a road trip to Wagga since the family is in USA...
Whats around Wagga to do for a day!? Havent been there for years.

Hi Truckster,
Your running 11 psi from a Denco? Sheesh, I have been emailing them a few times asking if i can safely boost
mine and the reply has always been NO We dont recommend it at all. So who did your boost mate and how do you find it compared to the standard setting Denco use when installing their turbo's. Does yours still run that stupid 90Degree bend near the firewall?
Oh and by the way, nice place wagga wagga, thats where my GQ comes from. Lots to see up there for a day...u got local crime in main streets, road rage..to name a few...lol. Take your camera mate if you go, you just might get some great footage and channel 7 will pay you BIG dollars to show it.
Just kidding ok guys, i found it to be a great place when i picked up my GQ. But am interested to see what you have to say in relation to your turbo mate. I recently went to a diesel turbo mob here a week or so ago and they quoted me $2000.00 to get more power out of it. I nearly died ! They said something about replacing the top of the pump as the standard one was not good enoughand testing my pump on
the bench.I am still recovering from the price.

Trust me, its a totally different car..
I found the std7-8 psi no different from before I put the turbo on.
All you do is wind the wastegate as far as it goes (long silver bar with 10mm nut on it!), that ups it.
Have been told similar things by other mobs on the $2300 trail for more neddies. :(
I would like 14psi like Bazzles, that thing walked away from me into the distance, even with 35s on it...

I am amazed, Sounds too good to be true actually, How long since you did this modification and have you noticed any differences to temp of running engine.
Also just so i do the right thing here, where is the waste
gate screw situated ..sorry but i have no idea when it comes to turbo's. Is it near the turbo itself, and once i work out where it is ...is that all i do wind it IN (clockwise direction) until it goes no further and lock it there or do i need to back off a little.
Thanks for the info Truckster, it would be nice to get a bit more out of the old girl around town mainly. She is great over 90kms, but getting to 90 is a slug, to be honest my old std GQ diesel (non turbo) was quicker than this one up to the 90 mark.
Cheers Angelo

We haven't been around the
forum for very long, but I get the impression that being lost for words is pretty unusual for you truckster ;)
Truckster, thanks for the wrap, THAT was totally unexpected.
As far as I know, we are the only manufacturer to give a thirty day money back guarantee on the purchase price of the kit. I’ve been here for twelve years, and I can only remember 2-3 occasions where this had to be done.
At Denco we always aim to deliver what we promise we will. But, we realise that we can not be everything to everyone. In fact, if people contact us directly and we get the feeling that they might expect too much from one of our turbos, we would recommend that our system is not for them. We are a tad on the conservative side, and always have been – but we have always followed our beliefs in what’s best long term for a diesel vehicle, and we have been able to create a wonderful group of happy customers that way.
Having said that, if someone feels that the Denco system is not doing what it should, then its our duty to see if there is a there is a problem with the turbo system. Other vehicle problems are often blamed on the turbo and these can be quickly rectified, sometimes the vehicle was low powered to begin with compared to another vehicle of the same model, and other things too.
We love to get customer feed back, and the old saying is you never hear back from happy customers, so occasionally we like to
check back and hear how things are working out. The best judge of a vehicles performance is the person that drives it day in day out.
PS sorry it took so long to reply but we have a few staff at Henty Field Days, will be in touch with you soon.
Oh, and at Denco we do only recommend 7 psi, but I think I'd best leave that to Paul when he gets back from the field days.
All the best
Tracey
