Hi guys,
I am mapping out a trip into Yalwal using Discover Aus. I will be heading down princess Hwy from syd. crossing the Shoalhaven river soon (2.61 kms) after turning right into Kalandar st. Then T/L into Albatross Rd before turning into Yalwal rd.

SO far so good. 26.4 Kms later Yalwal rd ends. From what i can see, I turn Right onto a fire trail for 0.31 kms then T/R for another 0.14 kms. Then T/L and follow trail for 1.06 Kms until what looks like the end of the trail at Danjera creek.

If the above is correct, I am assuming its a river crossing at this point?
But looking at the Discover Aus map, it don't show any trails at all on other side of river. Did i head in right direction? I would like to reach Yalwal from my above directions if they are correct.

Any other suggestions are very welcome guys.
Thanks in advance
Angelo

You havent been there either Baz? Im trying to hook up with paul J as he is comming in from Bungendore (near Braidwood) But I'd like to catch up with them without having to go all that extra distance. Save myself for the challenge ahead. It looks good for your trip too mate, all depends on relatives coming up to say or not. Did you say 4 days up there? Are you moving camp sites each day or staying in one spot? Are we camping ona river somewhere? (swimming and fishing allowed? let me know Baz.
Take care mate.

Staying in one place unless someone wants too move or it's not suitible, yes anything people want to do we'll try, like exploring the area, fishing, swimming, nothing, drinking, in moderation of cause, there are a couple of nearby places that should be worth investergating and there is Hill End itself too.
We are going up Friday and Vince said he was as well so come when you can, should be good.
Do you want Pauls mobile i'll mem msg with it if you do.

Baz.

Hi Angelo
You need to turn left off Burrier road, and go towards the dam. When you get to deans gap road, turn left, continue till you get to a large track to right, turn right and follow that track...thats where all the action is.....or from the other end,,, go to the dam, go around the one way road, at top, stop and check out cemetry, further on past cemetry you reach Yaramunmun track, continue along for many kms, keeping out of the bottomless bogholes. Come to large track to left, turn left, and you will come out at Deans Gap. There are a few obsticles like Dusties, slingshot, Jasons hill etc to come down or go up depending on which track you take...
Some are double difflock and maybe u will get through stuff.

I was down there 2 weeks ago. That one way track into the dam is now two way. The track up from there to the cemetry is blocked by huge logs. You have to go back up around the top road. The start of the Yaramunmun track has a nice shiny gate. Not shut as yet.

Cheers
