10 Para (Qld)
Just back from 15,000k trip did the Gulf road,
Roper Bar,
Darwin and the sights then on to the Gib River road, and down to
Marble Bar, then down the Tanami and across the Plenty must say that the Tanami was the worst road we had and the trip into the WC creater was just hell, still brought back all the BFG A/T in one piece did not have a punture but saw plenty others, the tanami we were informed was just great 3 weeks before we did it, the rain could not have helped.
Been home a week and have got yhr Patrol and camper ready for another trip to the south island "NZ" trying to get passage a the moment as the boats are not as many this year.
Also thing about putting 17" rims on the Patrol anyone done that yet

I am intending to go from
Alice Springs to
Borroloola, then east to
Cairns next year. I'd be interested to hear a bit more detail on the route you took and the
places you saw on your trip.

Did you take your camper trailer with you? And how did you find the GRR?
I intend to do the GRR next year in April/May.
Are there any
places along there that are not worth a look?
See what you have started now, you are going to be busy answering lots of questions.

We did alot of that last year,missed out on GBR but went up the Cape instead.The road into WC crator was as bad as any we travelled on too,the tanami wasnt to bad.We ran on Desert Duellers,didnt get a puncture either(saw heaps with multiple punctures also)most going too fast on overinflated tyres we guessed.
