Hi folks..my first post here, but I've been lurking for ages...I like to watch!!!
I'm after any specific opinions/experiences with the dual battery system offered by 4WD Systems in
Adelaide...strength/durability of tray, reliability of electronics and so on.
Thanks in advance.

Homra, I've seen the shoddy workmanship and failure/poor design of products manufactured and fitted by the franshisor (4WD Systems
Adelaide) on several vehicles over the last few years so Caveat Emptor!!
You may wish to read the comments about the quality of some of this company's products in the following court case :-

interesting read.
I must say I've never had an issue with any of the products that I've ever bought from them (12V Compressor, Lock Rights & Fuel
Tank) but perhaps I've been lucky.
Will keep it in mind for future though
cheers

A few years ago I had 4x4 do work on my new GU. Not happy!!!
My 3" lift ended up at less than 2" (before settling and after they took it back and theoretically changed
the springs!), Mr second battery they installed vibrated so severely that they added an extra strap as an after thought, and when I eventually went to use the second plug they mounted at the rear of my vehicle I found it didn't work. The had broken the soldering tab off! Finally the
snorkel they installed rattled against the pillar.
The only thing that I haven't had a problem with (touch wood) is the lokka, which I now find out (refer court case) is not the American unit I thought it was!!
So as for Caveat emptor, bullsh*t don't risk it, go to someone reputable!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the replies, people...
I think I'll go elsewhere. Does anyone know someone in
Adelaide who would be able to advise me and supply a simple, dependable system?(other than the usual 4X4 mobs)
Cheers

Take a run down Port Rd to opposite where it is joined by Kilkenny Rd. I think they are called Carelectrics and have a talk to them. The guy there was suggesting I have a system similar to one I once had in a yacht which used a switch to change over batteries. His suggestion relied on a solenoid switch from memory. Not as flash as a full-on dual battery system but lots cheaper.
I didn't run with it as it happens because I found another solution so I can't say I've used it.
