Mitsie's other half would rather be going up to Birdsville. We aren't leaving until mid October - for two weeks - what do you think - what will the temperatures be at that time of the year. (I know the answer - HOT, Mitsie).

It was either Oodnadatea or Maree, that had 40 degrees yesterday, can't remember which one.
In a word .............. hot.

Glenelg River would be way better, but probably cold.

Can't win ..........

Cheers

Mitsie - the past three days the temperatures in Birdsville have been 15 min and 40 max and we are heading for a long dry hot summer. Not sure where you live but the southerners who are visitng at the moment because of school holidays are finding it difficult - the locas are finding it quite pleasant as it has been a very very cold winter (but also very nice). Hint - not many locals venture into the SD fromOctober on unless they absolutely have to. It's magic in our winter time.
Lone Wolfie - are you listening - a DELICIA came out of the SD this week and earned an 'I Crossed Big Red' sticker!!! Willem had a great time in the SD in his new a/c, c/d car!!!

thanks also from me for the info. We are leaving Adelaide on the night of the 15th (after work) and be up there for 9 days. Look out for a 60's Landcruiser and a GQ 96 patrol (both white). Have a good trip.
