G'Day all,
Flying up to Port Douglas next Saturday for a week of R&R. Giving my Prado some R&R as well. I haven't been up that way for many, many years. Are there any locals
about that can suggest some points of interest that way. I'll be hireing a 4wd up there to get around. All suggestions welcomed.
Regards,
Bazza.

breakfast with the birds worth doing and also can do a tour up to cape trib
oct last yr did tour with (tony's tours and had tony as guide) did bloomfield falls which apparently only couple of tours allowed in there and lunch provided at non touristy spot where can have a swim as well as boat cruise on river spotting crocs
highly recommend it cost i think was 160 each which is not to bad for what u see in one day-not same as having own car up there though

G'Day all,
Thanks to everyone for their ideas. Does anyone know if the 4wd hire places allow their rigs to be used on off-road "tag-along" type tours, or the like?
I've owned a few of them but never hired one.
Regards,
Bazza.

There is a broad walk amongst the tree canopy just north of Cape kimberly witch is south of cape tribulation.

Hi Bazza,
I do private personal charters from Cairns in a 100 series turbo diesel. Trips to Cooktown, Undara Lava Tubes, Chillago Caves or even the Cape if you like. Just recently did a 3 day charted to Karumba. Depending on the size of your family may work out much cheaper than an organised tour with lots of people. Email or phone for more details, as I am a nationally recognised 4wd trainer you can even do some driving if you like. As below Tony does an excellent tour to Bloomfield falls or I can organise a deal on a hire Prado through Britz as they use me for training.
