Good Evening,

Has any had experience or now any body who has had Parabolic springs fitted, good/bad otherwise? I’m thinking of fitting some to an 85 lux have been told by supplier (Westralia Spring works) there bloody brilliant, softer ride better articulation etc. The opposition says otherwise, prone to cracking etc.

the design of parabolic springs dictates they have more stress and strain and consequently higher failure rates. Nothing will improve a 85 Hilux. Spending that sort of money on a 20 year old vehicle is interesting.

You didn't ask for an engineer, just opinions from those with them or know someone with them.

If you want an engineer try the Yellow Pages.

Yeah Mate did you not get the answer you wanted to hear
Parabolic springs do give a better ride but they sure have a higher failure rate
Problem is to find fully engineered and manufactured parabolic springs
Make sure the parabolic springs are made by a large reputable manufacturer

I like that Baz....that's funny.

I remember a time when my mother overheard me talking on the phone about a Parabolic Dish . When I got off the phone I said I was going out. She told me to enjoy the new resturant....??? I didn't know what she was on about untill she said. "you must tell me what they put in those parabolic dishes, it sounds Polynesian."
