Another all wheel drive to be thrown in with the 4wd bashers statistics.

Looks alright from the outside. Wouldn't trade
mine in on it though. I like to be able to actually go off road. I can't wait to see their ads after the last lot with the Adventura towing that boat in the sand. Wish they showed the hours of recovery and winching that would have been needed to make that.

Oh no, don't tell me Holden have finally caught on to the fact that Australians don't like the Adventura or the Corss Eight. They have sold bugger all of them.
They have realised that the Ford Territory is out selling them big time. The bonus of the Territory (if you are interested in this type of AWD) is that is made in good old Victoria, Australia using many of the Falcons bits.

Adventra is built at Holden's assembly plant at Elizabeth,
Adelaide.
Like Territory with Falcon, the Adventra is built using mostly Commodore bits'n'pieces, but unfortunately design and lack of real 4wd ability (focus) let it down in a big way.
the mind boggles.

Just as I thought and I would
hazard a guess that there are
Commodore bits in an Adventura than Falcon bits in a Territory.
So I don't understand why this is a 'bonus'.
As far as 4wd ablility is concerned I'm pretty sure Holden weren't
aiming to market to hard-core 4wd buyers.
They are offering another choice on the spectrum of 4wd/Awd vehicles.
Incidentally Holden refer to it as an all-wheel-drive.
What lets it down against the Territory is the price which should
level up a bit when the 6-cylinder version is out next year.
cheers

At least Holden have realised they need diesels to sell 4wds not huge petrol guzzling V8s.

Hey Truckster,
I might agree with what you say but I must say that the bluntness with which you express your opinion on this site does not exactly endear you with a wider public audience.
"YMMV"
