I have a 84 dual cab old but honest she has an electrical problem when you turn the key on the glow light used to come on and heat up and then go out automatically.but now for some strange reason you have to manually turn the key just that little bit further not quite to start position for the glow plugs to heat up and then it slowly goes out.I would really apprciate some feedback guys.I usually like to do my own work on the old girl as sometimes you just cant trust others. But this one has me beat.
Thanks.

Hi Dazza
It could be that your ignition switch has some wear internally and not making contact.

As daft as it sounds I had a problem starting my car with occaisional glow plug problem. Turned out to be wear in the key. When i used the spare key problem disappeared. I'd try it first, you never know.
