I notice in a recent "A" list of worlds most recognisable brands, there was "0" difference between the toyota brand, and the nissan brand.....

Toyota came in at No 9

nissan came in at number 90

so there is the only place you will find "0" difference between the 2 8-))))))

16 for toyota, vs 4 for nissan.

So toyota recognise a problem when they see it, and fix it ;-)

Though 4 times the recalls is probably well represented when you compare sales and models, over the yr span of the search between nissan and toyota as well.

Dont start this one up - it is futile. - Toyota do have the numbers out there but Nissans big advantage is its capability and drive trains (do a search on lsd and front diff) - Even Landcruiser Park uses Nissan patrols for its recovery vehicles - sort of makes arguing for and against a moot point - just drive what you like and leave each to his own.

Goofy,

That is pathetic.

Post something useful.

Your love for Toyota and hate of Nissan is really wearing thin.

Don't you have something more important in your life to worry about?

A car is a car, if it serves someone well, let them enjoy it. Enjoy your's and stop denigrating others for their choice.

Buggered if I care, I don't own a Toyota or a Nissan.

Wayne,

You're right, Darren actually actually does have a great deal of knowledge, but when he gets on this forum, at times, he can't help himself. For reasons I don't understand he has a desire to upset people.

If the car's not a Toyota, or the product you are discussing is not expensive, he derides it.

"You get what you pay for" and "poor people can't afford cheap things" are his catchcries. Some of us buy according to value and quality, not what advertising tells us to buy.

He could add a lot more value to this forum by being constructive.

It's up to him and what gives him enjoyment.

Cheers,

Jimbo,
Im not sure what you think my so called "catch cries" mean,

[you said You get what you pay for" and "poor people can't afford cheap things" are his catchcries.]

But my meaning of them is the same as you have said

"Some of us buy according to value and quality, not what advertising tells us to buy."

But your entitled to think what you like I guess.....

Darren,

As are you.

As long as we help others to make informed choices, a significant contribution will have been made.

Your knowledge on many issues is valuable to many.

Maybe Toyota is more recognised because it spends more on marketing. Maybe they make better cars. Foster's is Australia's most recognised beer worldwide, doesn't mean it's any good.
I'll have a Coopers's thanks.
