sulpher in deisel fuel in w.a.

hello commacharoes....,does any body have any info or experienced any problems with sulphur damaging pumps and injectors as this is currently a big problem here in the pilbara your comments would be appreciated

stocker ,have had the pleasure [not]of doing over 1000 of said injector pumps due to low sulphur fuel . most of the problems occur from seal and gasket shrinkage due to reaction of the fuel .seal kits for the average japperis are only 30 bucks but the dear part is the dude who takes it off ,pulls it apart and reassemble/recalibrates the pump.for example due to frequency I had the removal and replacement of a 2l toyota down to 45 minutes 1 hour to overhaul and recalibrate . the average bill was 735 bucks .now HERES THE TRICK .over here on the east coast the fuel companies coughed up all the expense as it was deemed their fault due to the change of fuel specs and they had a time period in which to fix all the leaks .that has long since expired .i know wa stands for wait awhile but surely the fuel you get must have been low sulphur about 2 years ago.my advice is to get all the people you know who have had the problem and contact the major fuel supplier ie bp mobil shell and ask what action they will take to remedy the situation.DO NOT BACK DOWN. it is their problem and potentially very expensive for the vehicle owners. over your way probably $1000 upwards maybe .Thats sweet fa to the oil companies .by the way it has very little effect on squirters execpt some direct injection models good luck and dont get ripped off
