I went to the Fest at Sandown today.
Bloody good day out. Lots of vans on show, lots of products for sale, lots of people there.
Good day out for $10, a bloody lot more fun than seeing a movie.
Anyone who has a few hours to kill on Sunday shouldn't miss it.

Hi Jimbo,
The Grierson's and I went this morning and were also really impressed. Al learnt alot about the solar panels he is after, and I picked up a 90L black plastic
water tank for only $70, as
well as another
camp oven. Lots of people there, but not as packed as the show at Jeff's Shed, better bargains to be had too I believe.
The only downer was the hotdogs.....very skanky they were...hahahaha
Cheers

the hotties were very "skanky" though
mine was made slightly more edible with the layers of mustard and sauce... :))
yep, both Al and I were impressed with the show, just have to christen those
camp ovens now ;)

Went today, only thing I got was a
first aid kit for the pathy.
Worked out with a few tour operators to do a few tag-a-long type trips with the nissan club up round
dargo, stayin on the dudes property. It should be good, have to dig out the metal detector for that one!
had a look at a few tailgate 'kitchens', you buy presetup, but at $1100, I laughed and wee'd my pants. The gas stoves were inside for $50!
Didnt see any 'real' bargains, or anything that looked NEW or hadnt been done before... there were 1000's of Cheap gennys and crap like that.. But what do ya want for $10.00

Also went on Sunday to Sandown RV Fest - always good value for money this show - lots to see - we went to get a couple of small canvas bags for ropes etc, tota cost $8 - cheap as - but we ended up spending another fair wack on a Cobb Oven - took it home and couldn't wait to try it - had a very small beef roast - potatoes - yum - and so quick - moist very tasty - we hope to take "the big trip" early next year probably 6 months on the road (all going
well) and figured from reading about ti this could be the answer for long term travel - can't always have a fire to use
camp oven, will only have power sometimes, mostly not, but if everything else comes out as
well as this roast - yum - going to try a roast chook this week as
well, with spuds and pumpkin on top - corn, beans etc below - can't wait. (used 8 heatbeads - could probably have done it on 6 with plenty left to
cook a desert or boil kettle - absolutely brilliant)
